Another addition: International Farmall 140

by mrsdoni

We drove up to West Virginia to pick up a Farmall 140 tractor. We took young Sheba with us and she was such a joy. She never complained and never had an ‘accident’ in the vehicle or the hotel.

A big THANK YOU to Kevin and Carla Kirby for allowing us to use their new 16′ flatbed to pick it up. We didn’t trust our old wooden 16′ flatbed since it does not have any breaks.

2021 Evin Evans show in Shelby, NC

by mrsdoni

I had the most fun at the Evin Evans Spring Spectacular show in Shelby NC this weekend. Probably one of the most, if not THE most fun ever. I have been reflecting on why it was so incredibly enjoyable for me and think I know…. It was the love and fellowship with amazing friends. Thank you everyone ❤ for being so kind, caring, helpful, encouraging, and genuinely good people…. Joan Williams Carlson ( and Dave!), Sandra Coffman , Jessicà Bell, Linda Giles , Jessica Wilbur, Robin Hayden Lovings, young man Reed, Paul Fox, Mark Cobble, the humourous and knowledgeable judges and many other folks I talked with. You all rock and I truly enjoyed my time with you ❤ Thank you all!

The Lamancha classes were packed with gorgeous goats and I was thrilled when they placed so well! I think I am on track with my breeding program but apparently need to put my girls on a serious diet because they have extreme ‘excess fleshing’. ? As always, the judge’s comments were extremely helpful ❤

3 year old MLRT Vanilla Latte won a Grand Champion and two Reserve Champions!2 year old MLRT Caramel Macchiato placed very well in her classes!Dry yearling MLRT Milkshake won a Grand Champion and a Reserve Champion.

2nd day at the Evin Evans Show in Shelby NC and Milkshake is so bored. She is so much like her dam who also liked to make music. She also managed to win a Reserve Champion and a Grand Champion today.

May 2021 Pride of the Piedmont show

by mrsdoni

We’re at the Pride of the Piedmont Spring Show this weekend! Not much sleep but still fun! This year I bought a tent and air mattress to stay close to my goats (and save money in hotel costs!) like many people do. The key to sleeping is “EAR PLUGS”! Thank you to Brooke and Toni for bringing me some!

I am thrilled with my goat’s placings and, as always, learned a lot from the judge’s comments.

There were so many gorgeous goats! I am looking forward to next year already!
