Vanilla had Twin bucks!

by mrsdoni

Day 150: Twin gorgeous bucks for Vanilla! Thanks to Dr. Shannon for pulling them ❤ They were presented correctly, just big boys. I was a nervous wreck and called my awesome, gentle, amazing Vet to check on her even before Vanilla started labor because I was concerned with how long it was taking but she went into strong labor after the vet did an internal check. Yes! Finally she started pushing!N1 @ 10 lb 12 oz buckM2 @ 8 lb 5 oz buck

Vanilla is doing great and already ate her dinner! ❤ UPDATE: DNA confirm Hiro as the sire.

At day 147 (3 days prior to kidding)
N1 10lb 12 oz buck

N2 8 lb 5oz buck

MUD MUD MUD!! Winter of 2020

by mrsdoni

Ughhhh…. the mud is so bad with all this winter rain!!! I am trying some concrete pavers for the doe pasture. So far it is working great.

For the buck paddock, we are trying pea-gravel. He paces constantly during rut season (Sept – Feb) and makes the biggest muddy mess!
